Attorney Matt Hughes

I have been a featured speaker at numerous American Immigration Lawyers Association (AILA) chapter conferences, including the Rome/EMEA, Latin America and Caribbean, and Oregon AILA Chapters. I recently participated in a panel discussion for new immigration lawyers as part of the AILA National Conference in Chicago. Staying abreast of policy changes is essential, and I am passionate about providing clients with the most current and strategic advice. Some of my recent presentations have covered consular processing issues, diplomatic visas, visa ineligibility waivers, and a wide range of other topics.

In addition to my practice, I have the privilege of serving on the American Immigration Lawyer's Association (AILA) National New Member Division Steering Committee for 2024-25. In this role, I am committed to engaging with new immigration attorneys who are dedicated to being the best possible advocates for their clients.

I believe in a personalized approach and strive to develop real relationships with all of my clients. I value direct interaction while also incorporating new technology into my practice to enhance efficiency. I am confident that my practice offers both a high level of personalization and excellent value. While some of my clients are based in Oregon, most are located throughout the United States and the rest of the world. I maintain a flexible schedule to accommodate client meetings at convenient times across all time zones.

When I'm not advocating for clients, you can find me cheering on my kids at various sporting events, spending quality time with my friends and family, or enjoying the natural beauty of the Pacific Northwest in every season.

Interested in working together? I look forward to hearing from you!
